March 2, made a 206 mile roundtrip motorcycle ride to the Tom Mix Monument just south of Florence, Az. Main stops were at the Waylon Jennings gravesite in Mesa, a horse ranch owned by former co-workers in Queen Creek, the Casa Grande Indian ruins in Coolidge, the Galloping' Goose Bar and Grill in Coolidge and eventually to the Tom Mix monument where I turned around and headed home. I rented a 2017 Harley Davidson Sportster SuperLow 1200T. Click here for all photos.

April, 14th-28th, made three hikes starting at the Lost Dog Wash Trailhead. April 14th, made my first hike on the Lost Dog Wash, a short hike of about only 1-mile. April 19th, made my second hike, this time did Lost Dog Wash-Anasazi Spur trail, a hike of about 3-miles. April 28th, made my third hike, this time did the Lost Dog Wash-Ringtail-Anasazi Spur trail, about 2.7 miles, went with Bern O'Halloran.

July 7th, purchased a Olympus Tough TG-5 Digital Camera (water-proof), primarily for kayaking, has built-in GPS, received it on July 13th.

October 10th, took a photography class at Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI) titled "Visual Storytelling through Adventure Photography." Main take-away for me was "Don't take a photo, create one." Class presented by Jim David Photography.
November 10th, hiked 3.2 miles of the Gateway Loop Trail in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.

November 18th, went kayaking to Lake Pleasant with 11 other kayakers, organized by Tempe Town Lake Marina. Put-in/take-out point was near the Castle Creek Boat Ramp. Click here for all photos.
